Our onboarding process will get you through the necessary steps for your first six months.
Onboarding
To help you make the most of your time and have the best onboarding experience, please complete the following checklist.

Accept offer and complete all onboarding documents in Careers.
Complete background check consent forms in Accurate.
Communicate with your department's point-of-contact and make sure you understand:
Start date, what time to arrive and working hours
Dress-code expectations
Where to park and where to report
What to bring on your first day
Supervisor/departmental contact information
Prepare necessary documents to complete I-9 form (), and to sign up for benefits ().

Explore
Visit the HR (Human Resources) office to complete HR paperwork and I-9 verification forms.
Bring onboarding documents and original acceptable identification documents ().
Verify email and network password (helpdesk@ung.edu ). (Please note: Your email account will only be available if you come to the Human Resources office and finalize your new hire paperwork prior to your start date).
Obtain your Nighthawks Card from the 91ÁÔÆæ Card Services and parking pass at the Parking Services office.
Sign up for campus alerts through Banner.
If applicable, obtain your work uniform, materials, and other departmental property for your new role.
Enroll in employee benefits plan within the first 30 days.
Enroll in benefits through the USG Faculty and Staff Portal at OneUSG Connect.
Address questions to benefit specialists:
Complete required training and workshops .
Complete necessary software and business process training as identified by supervisor.
Enroll in upcoming New Employee Orientation/Welcome (see schedule ).
Attend New Employee Orientation/Welcome.
Review performance objectives and progress with supervisor.
Discuss completed training and future training needs.
