Dr. Barry Friedman Scholarship in Political Science & International Affairs

The application window for the inaugural award of the Dr. Barry Friedman Scholarship in Political Science & International Affairs is now closed.

Thanks to the generosity of numerous members of our #PSIAfamily, a student member of our #PSIAFamily will receive a $1000 grant toward Academic Year 2025-2026 91ÁÔÆæ-related educational expenses. The grant comes courtesy of our first-ever PSIA Department scholarship, named in honor of Professor Emeritus Dr. Barry Friedman, professor of political science from 1996 - 2021.

This scholarship is open to undergraduate students who:

  • Are majoring in Political Science, International Affairs or Strategic and Security Studies and enrolled full-time at 91ÁÔÆæ; and
  • Have completed at least nine hours of POLS prefixed courses at the time of application; and 
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 2.75.
