The Political Science Student Association was founded in 1994. We exist to promote knowledge and increase awareness about all things political at 91ÁÔÆæ. We are open to any and all who are interested.

The Nighthawks Politics Club (Gainesville Campus)

We seek to provide students with a friendly forum for learning about and discussing public policies. All political perspectives are welcomed. The Nighthawks Politics Club does not officially affiliate with any political party.

Model United Nations (Model UN-G) (Dahlonega & Gainesville campuses)

Since its re-emergence in the fall of 2014, more than 650 91ÁÔÆæ students have participated in Model United Nations (Model UN) activities through the Model UN-G club. Student delegates have participated at the Southeast Regional Model United Nations (SRMUN) annual conferences in Charlotte (April) and Atlanta (November). These conferences serve as exceptional educational opportunities for 91ÁÔÆæ students to apply the concepts of international relations and globalist, positive-sum cooperation in a real-time simulated negotiation patterned after the functions of the United Nations. Each year, the two SRMUN conferences draw more than 750 university students from more than fifty different US schools and universities, enabling 91ÁÔÆæ students to participate in an arena to develop skills in diplomacy, negotiation, critical thinking, compromise, public speaking, writing, and research. In addition to the SRMUN conference participation, club members have participated in annual on-campus Model UN conferences since 2017.

The Strategic Studies Group (Dahlonega Campus)

The Strategic Studies Group is a lively student club created to encourage open discussions on topics such as: Homeland Security, Cyber Security, Defense, Diplomacy, and Intelligence. With frequent meetings throughout the year, the club provides a space for discussing challenging subjects and promotes student leadership. Many of its alumni have gone on to hold positions in prestigious think tanks and in the military. The club is open to undergraduates and graduates in related majors, and there are four membership tiers: prospective members, general members, board members, and alumni.

Pre-Law Society

The Pre-Law Society serves students who plan on pursuing a legal education or who just have a general interest in the law. Our members gain understanding about both legal education and legal practice from informational meetings, guest speakers, workshops, etc.  The Society generally meets once or twice a semester. Membership is open to all students. Please contact Dr. Charles "Trey" Wilson for more information.

MPA Student Association (Dahlonega Campus)

This group represents the interests and expresses the opinions of MPA students
