Hiring Staff

  1. The Hiring Manager should reach out to their Talent Acquisition Consultant to initiate the process.
  2. The Talent Acquisition Consultant will collect the necessary information to start the hiring process. The hiring manager will need to at this time provide the Talent Acquisition Consultant with the names of all committee members.
    • With Careers, there is no "search chair" designation. Everyone will be listed as a committee member on the job posting.)

  1. The hiring manager will need to complete and add the Recruitment Justification Form (RJF) and approve the job opening.

  1. The approvers will have a pending notification in recruiting self-service once the job opening gets to them for approvals.

  1. The Hiring Manager will be responsible for moving applicants through the process including dispositioning them in the system.
  2. The Hiring Team may review applications and begin the interview process while the position is posted. However, all qualified applicants must be considered. Committee members can only view and print applications.

  1. Once you have selected a final candidate, you will need to submit the following information via email to your Talent Acquisition Consultant.
    • Job Title and Job Opening ID #
    • Applicant’s Name
    • Desired Start Date
    • End Date (If Applicable)
    • Desired Salary
    • Relocation Amount (If Applicable)
    • Budget Account String
    • Budget Amount
    • Campus Location
    • ERS/TRS Retiree: Yes or No (Staff/Faculty Only)
    • Position of Trust (Students/Graduate Assistants Only)
  2. HR will review and let you know once you are approved to make a verbal offer.

  1. The approvers will have a pending notification in recruiting self-service once the job offer gets to them.

  1. The offer letter will be sent to the candidate once the job offer approval is completed.
  2. The hiring manager will be notified when the candidate has accepted the offer.
