Nursing (BSN)

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program is for students who want to become a registered nurse. Through rigorous classes, practice in our simulation labs, and intensive clinical experiences, you'll be prepared to be a nurse generalist with knowledge and skills to practice in acute and community settings.

Upon graduation, you will be eligible to take the national licensure exam (NCLEX-RN) required for practice as a professional registered nurse.

What The Traditional Journey Could Look Like

Your First Year

  • You'll start to find your place on campus and begin your core classes in English, math, science, history and chemistry.
  • Attend one of our nursing advisement and info sessions to learn about applying to the nursing program.

Sophomore Year

  • You'll finish up your prerequisite core courses.
  • This will be the year you apply to the BSN program. Admission is competitive and is based on your GPA and HESI test score.

Junior Year

  • Once you've been accepted into the program, you'll celebrate by buying your official 91ÁÔÆæ Nursing scrubs and lab kit.
  • You'll learn the fundamentals of nursing practice, including health assessment, pathophysiology and pharmacology

Senior Year

  • You'll study specialized topics in nursing, including obstetrics, pediatrics, mental health and population health.
  • As you prepare to graduate from 91ÁÔÆæ, you'll also be preparing to take the NCLEX exam to earn your professional licensure.
