The BSN Program utilizes a variety of state-of-the-art facilities across the region. You may be required to travel to different healthcare offices and agencies, or to other schools in order to complete your clinical experiences.

The BSN Program can be completed in four academic years. For the first two years, your course work will consist of liberal arts and science prerequisites. For the latter half of the program, you will be fully immersed in nursing course work. Review the program page for more detailed information.

Tuition and fees for this program are similar to those of other 91ÁÔÆæ programs. Additionally, students in the BSN Program are required to pay all costs associated with the required travel, textbooks, equipment, and testing necessary to complete the program.

The HESI (Health Education Systems Incorporated) A² is an online, computer-based, scholastic aptitude test. It is one component of the University of North Georgia Nursing Department's admission selection process. Learn more about the HESI A².

HESI overall score a minimum of 75;

The minimum acceptable score of 66 and above is required for each sub-category for Math, A/P, Vocab, and Reading (Sub-category scores 65 and below do not meet minimum requirements). Scores in the high 80's are commonly achieved by students admitted to the program.

University of North Georgia's Nursing Department requires the HESI A² exam be taken at the Testing Center on 91ÁÔÆæ's Dahlonega Campus or at a Prometric Test Center. Learn more about how to take HESI A² exam at a Prometric site.

All core and nursing prerequisite requirements must be completed prior to starting your first nursing course in the BSN program. At the time you apply, you must have:

• a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 GPA scale
• completed a minimum of 35 hours of required core courses with grades of C or better (including 12 hours of required science, 6 hours of English, and 3 hours of required Math (MATH 1111 or higher).

Yes, you need to apply for the BSN Program. Admission to the University of North Georgia and admission to the nursing program are two separate processes.

No, you must be unconditionally admitted to 91ÁÔÆæ in order to apply to the BSN Program. Be sure to allow enough time to complete both application processes.

Confirming your acceptance is the first step after being admitted to 91ÁÔÆæ. Confirm your attendance to 91ÁÔÆæ through the . Log into this page using your 91ÁÔÆæ ID number or Social Security Number, and your date of birth. On the right side of the page, or beneath your admissions decision, select “Confirmation of Acceptance”. Complete the form as appropriate.

If you were accepted to 91ÁÔÆæ for a specific semester, be sure to notify the Office of the Registrar if you cannot attend as planned. If you don’t attend during the semester for which you were accepted and don’t notify the Registrar, your admission will be canceled.

You can be considered for admission to the BSN Program if you have attended another program and left that program in good standing. Please be advised that there is a chance that not all of your credits may transfer due to differences in curricula.

A titer is a blood test for antibodies and is required even if you are up-to-date on immunizations.

If your health care provider tells you that you don’t need something (like a titer) that is listed on any required forms, please explain that you need to complete the requirements exactly as listed or you won’t be allowed to participate in required clinical experiences.
