Application for All State Scholarships/Grants

The State Scholarship Application, GSFAPPS, should be completed by students who want to be considered for the HOPE Scholarship, the Zell Miller Scholarship, the HOPE Grant, or who receive a HOPE GED Voucher. Apply online at . The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) can also be used as an application for these State Scholarships/Grants.

The State Scholarship Programs pay for tuition only. If the tuition of a course is less than the published rate on the Payment Schedule, the Zell Miller Scholarship, HOPE Scholarship, Zell Miller Grant or HOPE Grant will be adjusted to match the tuition charged at the lower rate. Adjustments will be made after the Drop/Add period has ended.

HOPE Scholarship
The HOPE Scholarship program is for students who have demonstrated academic achievement and who are seeking a college degree. There are several ways to become eligible for the HOPE Scholarship, either by graduating from high school as a HOPE Scholar or by earning it while in college. Students who meet all other eligibility requirements may receive the HOPE Scholarship until seven years after their high school graduation, home study completion, or GED test date. Zell Miller Scholarship
The Zell Miller Scholarship program is for students who have demonstrated academic achievement and are seeking a college degree. Generally, to become eligible, a student must graduate from an eligible high school with a 3.70 GPA and a minimum score on the SAT/ACT. Dual Enrollment
Dual Enrollment provides for participation in Dual Credit Enrollment for Eligible High School and Home Study students. These students earn postsecondary credit hours and simultaneously meet their high school graduation or Home Study completion requirements as Dual Credit Enrollment students. In some instances, students may be responsible for lost or damaged books, books that are considered optional, or specific course-related fees, such as a lab fee. The HOPE Grant program is for students seeking a technical certification or diploma, regardless of the student's high school grade point average or graduation date. For students at 91��, eligible certificate programs include Environmental Sciences Certificate, Environmental Studies Certificate, Geographic Information Science Certificate, Gerontology Certificate Program, Health Information Administration Certificate, Healthcare Administration Certificate, Military Leadership Certificate, Spanish Translation Certificate and Theatre & Entertainment Technology Certificate. Zell Miller Grant
The Zell Miller Grant is for students seeking a technical certification or diploma, regardless of the student's high school grade point average or graduation date. A postsecondary cumulative GPA of 3.5 is required. For students at 91��, eligible certificate programs include Environmental Sciences Certificate, Environmental Studies Certificate, Geographic Information Science Certificate, Gerontology Certificate Program, Health Information Administration Certificate, Healthcare Administration Certificate, Military Leadership Certificate, Spanish Translation Certificate and Theatre & Entertainment Technology Certificate. Zell Miller Grant Payment Schedule 2023-2024

Students may gain or regain HOPE or Zell Miller Scholarship for various reasons during their college enrollment. If you think you qualify for the HOPE or Zell Miller Scholarship based on your high school grade point average, a grade change made to a college course after grades posted for the term, you have reached a 30, 60 or 90 attempted hours HOPE checkpoint, or other reasons, please contact the financial aid office for an account review.

Students who graduated from an ineligible high school, or completed a home study program, or earned a General Education Development (GED ) diploma from the TCSG may be eligible for retroactive HOPE for their first 30 attempted hours if they have a 3.0 HOPE GPA after those first 30 hours. Please contact the financial aid office for assistance in reviewing eligibility.
