Student-Faculty Collaborative Mini-Grants

The Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (CURCA) offers mini grants of up to $1000 to student-led teams in all academic areas. The CURCA Student-Faculty Collaborative Mini-Grant is designed to provide undergraduate students with the necessary materials to complete their undergraduate research and creative projects. To apply, students must submit an online application to the competition on the InfoReady platform before the deadline.

What to Expect

Funding from this grant may be used to support necessary expenses (materials, supplies, or travel) for conducting your outlined research project. Mini-Grants cannot be used for presenting research at conferences. (For funding to present research, learn about CURCA's Student Travel Grants program.)

Grantees are required to:

  1. Work closely with their mentor who will submit purchase requests on their behalf to CURCA.
  2. Present their research at either 91ÁÔÆæ’s Annual Research Conference (ARC), another CURCA-sponsored event, or a disciplinary conference within one year of the close of grant.
  3. Submit a post-award report summarizing the outcomes and products of the funded project by May 1.
