Our Mission
The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA) develops cultural and educational programs through co-curricular experiences which develop students into leaders for a diverse and global society. With this mission guiding us, we:
- Commemorate and celebrate the experiences and cultures of multicultural students through cultural heritage month programming inside of our larger campus communities.
- Advise and provide leadership development opportunities for nine cultural and identity-based student organizations.
- Cultivate and facilitate co-curricular programs focused on cultural awareness.
- Develop and maintain a welcoming community guided by the ethics of care for all students while demonstrating respect of all identities, lived experiences, and education levels.
- Advocate and provide support to all students to maximize their voices.
Our Vision
The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA) will be an integral part of preparing students at 91ÁÔÆæ to be culturally competent and able to contribute positively to a multicultural community and global society.
We envision a University of North Georgia that supports the identities and perspectives of our entire community in a way that promotes and fosters a culture of belonging for all students, faculty, and staff.

Multicultural Competence
Students will be able to:
- Acquire an increased knowledge of various cultures through the activities and programs that MSA provides.
- Demonstrate an increased knowledge of and willingness to engage with various cultures through the Cultural Heritage Months events, activities, and programs.

Students will be able to:
- Seek and participate in both curricular and co-curricular activities that contribute to their learning, and ability to contribute to a diverse and global society.
- Readily identify on-campus student support services, academic support, and other services that will bolster their academic development
