McNair Scholars Program

The McNair Program is designed to prepare sophomores, juniors and seniors from all 91ÁÔÆæ campuses for post-graduate studies through involvement in research and scholarly activities. Participants are either first-generation college students with financial need or members of a group traditionally underrepresented in graduate education who have shown strong academic potential.

  • Academic advisement and tutorial services
  • Engaging in cultural and education activities
  • Weekly workshops on the nature of academic life
  • Assistance with the graduate school admissions process and applications
  • Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) prep
  • Financial aid guidance

Participants in good standing in the program have the opportunity to be eligible for a financial stipend, ranging from $500 to $2,500.
