1. Steps to Apply for University Admissions
- Apply for admission to the University of North Georgia using . Both Georgia and out-of-state residents create an account with GA Futures to apply. If you cannot apply online, download a paper application and submit to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. All applicants, online and paper, will pay a non-refundable application fee.
- On the admission application, you will need to select:
- Transfer seeking a second bachelor’s degree as your application type.
- Select Spring for the semester you plan to enter.
- Choose Gainesville as your primary campus.
- For intended major select - General Studies – BSN Pre-Nursing
- Respond "Yes" to the next question regarding seeking an accelerated track
- On the admission application, you will need to select:
- Submit your official transcripts. You will need to submit an official transcript from each institution you have attended. We must receive the transcripts through e-script, Parchment, National Student Clearinghouse, or another secure transcript delivery service directly from the institutions: choose Admissions Imaging Center or use admissions-gvl@ung.edu as the intended recipient.
- If your institution is mailing your transcript directly to 91ÁÔÆæ: 91ÁÔÆæ Admissions Imaging Center, PO Box 1358, Gainesville, GA 30503.
- Note: Transcripts sent by the student or parent are not considered official.
- If you want to be considered for in-state tuition, you must submit your verification of lawful presence. This is not required if you pay out-of-state tuition.
- Admission to the 91ÁÔÆæ is not contingent upon proof of lawful presence.

2. Steps to Apply to the Department of Nursing
- Once accepted to the University, you must apply for admission to the nursing program. You will find the ABSNT application in your BannerWeb account.
- More detailed instructions will be sent to you about this part of the application process after you have been accepted to the University
- Submit your Health Educations Systems Inc. (HESI) scores. You must complete the Admission Assessment (a2) Exam with a minimum score of 75%.
- Note: To expedite your admission, we recommend you take the HESI exam at one of our 91ÁÔÆæ Testing Centers.
- All tests must be taken within 12 months of the application deadline.
- The application deadline is October 15.
