Eligibility and Participation Requirements
- Be a bachelor's degree-seeking, freshman with a declared major in criminal justice.
- Be a United States citizen.
- Opt in to the Public Safety Academy program and complete an application (see PSA Resources).
- Be willing to complete additional training, field lab experiences, and periodic written exams.
- Pass a sports physical exam.
- Must have a minimum overall 2.8 GPA prior to admittance and must maintain a 2.5 GPA in the major for the duration of the program.
- Pass a criminal background check and driver's history report.
- Pass an entrance examination.
- Pass a panel interview.
- Pass a Psychological examination.
