Valerie Fambrough, B.A.
Overview
Valerie is an alumna of the university and has been working here since 2006 and in the Biology Department since 2011. While Valerie was a student at the university, she participated in study abroad programs to Toulouse, France and Quebec City, Quebec. She served as an SGA representative for two years; was active in her sorority, Delta Zeta; and she worked in the biology labs as a lab assistant, and the language lab as a French tutor. Her favorite part of her job is meeting students and talking to them about their experiences. She hopes that all students feel that her office is a place where they can find solutions to their problems and a place where they can find someone to talk to when they are having a tough time. If she doesn’t know the answer, chances are good she will know who will know the answer!
In addition to her duties as an administrative assistant for the Biology Department, she serves as a 91ÁÔÆæ 1st Gen mentor, has served as a staff advisor for Foxtrot Company, has served as Staff Council President, is a North Star Awardee, participant in Safe Zone training, and is a Presidential Merit Award of Excellence Recipient. Outside of work, she enjoys playing the fiddle, gardening, reading, and spending time with her family.
