[Michael Shannon, Ph.D. - President of 91ÁÔÆæ] - Hey, good afternoon Nighthawk family! It's hard to believe it's the end of my first week and I just wanted to check in with you for a moment and just say thank you.

Thank you for the warm and wonderful welcome you've given to me and my family thank you for everyone who sent us cards and emails and texts and and and just the overwhelming interaction that I've had with the community this week. We had a blast this week right on this very field with about 10,000 members of our Dahlonega family who came out and celebrated one of the most special days of the year, the Fourth of July. It was an incredible night and thank you to all of you who were a part of that for those of you at our other campuses.

I'll be on the road and I'm coming very soon next week to Blue Ridge into Gainesville and I can't wait to get out and get to meet you and hear from you and with that I want to encourage you we're going to start a listening tour. We want to hear from you we want to get to every one of our camp offices we want to meet our entire Community whether you're a student a faculty member a staff member we want to hear from you you know what do you love about the University of North Georgia and what are the things that we could do better what are the things that you know take us to the next level. I'll leave you with this as we go into the weekend -  what's next Nighthawk family?
