Global Learning Community
The Global Learning Community (GLC) is a living learning community located in the North Georgia Suites residence hall on the Dahlonega campus. The GLC is designed for domestic and international undergraduate students to live and learn together in hopes of fostering meaningful connections across diverse cultural backgrounds and better prepare students for a more interconnected world.
International Students
- Freshman F-1 international students admitted to the Dahlonega campus are strongly encouraged to apply to live in the GLC and will receive the application link by email following I-20 issuance.
- All J-1 exchange students live in the GLC during their studies at 91ÁÔÆæ and will receive the application link after admittance.

Domestic Students
- Must have a 2.0 minimum high school GPA
- Complete the online housing application to live in the North Georgia Suites
- Submit Resume and Letter(s) of Recommendation via the Housing Portal

GLC Program Benefits
- Gaining cultural knowledge through the celebration of different cultural events during the academic year.
- Events and meetings with the Center of Global Engagement Office to learn and better prepare for future study abroad opportunities.
- Exclusive GLC Events will allow students to gain greater cultural understanding and appreciation.
- Relationships that are developed with lifelong friends from different parts of the world.
- The ability to live alongside other students in the North Georgia Suites to academically enhance each other by studying and learning together.
- Early class registration through the attendance of the Special Population Orientation.

GLC Program Expectations
For GLC specific events, attendance is required unless an excused absence is granted by the program's Resident Assistant or Program Coordinator.
Participate in and complete assignments for three GLC programs per semester.
GLC members must maintain a 2.0 minimum college GPA.
Violations of the Student Code of Conduct are not permissible within the GLC Program. While conduct violations are handled by the Office of Student Integrity, the GLC Program adds to the processes already set in place by the Office of Student Integrity.
