91ÁÔÆæ received the funds through the Sawnee EMC Foundation Operation Round Up program.
The Sawnee EMC Scholarship was created in 2016 for students attending class at the Cumming Campus, and it has since funded $52,5000 in scholarships.
"This partnership between 91ÁÔÆæ's Cumming Campus and Sawnee EMC is a life-changing financial benefit for our students, enabling them to complete their degrees with as little debt as possible," Dr. Ken Crowe, executive director of 91ÁÔÆæ's Cumming Campus, said.
Students must have at least a 2.5 GPA, nine hours per semester on the Cumming Campus and financial need to earn the scholarship. There is a preference for veteran students.
The Sawnee EMC Foundation Operation Round Up program is overseen by an independent Board of Directors, and 100% of the donated funds stay in Sawnee EMC communities. The volunteer board reviews applications and distributes the funds.
