University of North Georgia (91ÁÔÆæ) Oconee Campus Executive Director Dr. Cyndee Perdue Moore has been nominated for the Athena Award given by the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce.
Moore, who has served as the Oconee Campus executive director since May 2017, was announced as one of 11 nominees at a Dec. 7 luncheon at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education in Athens, Georgia. The winner will be revealed in the spring at the Chamber's annual membership gala.
"I am humbled to be included with the women who make up this year's nominees as all are leaders in their fields who have had a tremendous impact on our community," Moore said. "I also feel so fortunate to be recognized for work that I enjoy so much."
The Athena Award, which has been presented since 1988, is given to "a person who has attained and embodies the highest level of professional excellence in her or his business or profession; who has devoted time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community and who actively assists women in realizing their leadership potential."
