Overview

Mark Pettitt serves as Interim Director of Government Relations for the University of North Georgia. In this role, he serves as an advisor to 91�� President Mike Shannon and is responsible for directing the University’s government affairs strategy.

Pettitt began his career at 91�� in the Office of Government Relations and Economic Development in 2021 and served as an elected member of the Hall County Board of Education for six years. He is actively involved with the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce and the Gainesville Jaycees. He and his wife, Molly, live in Chestnut Mountain.
