Molly entered into Rhetoric and Composition due to her interest in the position of voice in composing, particularly marginalized and stereotyped voices that challenge expectations of the academy. This valuation of vernaculars frames her approaches to inclusion and intersectionality within her research and her pedagogy. She then was able to merge her two passions--composition and dance--in her research in order to explore the representation and inclusion of the/a/our body within digital multimodal composition and the implications therein. Molly's pedagogy approaches composing as both social and collaborative; she also explores ways that students can interact with and create identities within digital composing spaces and platforms, such as Twitter--finding balance between the personal and professional in the public sphere. She believes in the importance of understanding and interrogating composing (in all its forms) in order to better interact with the field and prepare students for a variety of experiences inside and outside of their academic careers. Outside of academia, Molly is a certified yoga instructor in hot yoga, mind-body, and a specialization in aerial yoga. She is also a classically trained dancer in both ballet and modern and is looking forward to finding new home studios in the Gainesville, GA area.

Molly has taught at two different institutions, Marshall University (as both a graduate student and faculty) and Florida State University, while pursuing her PhD. During that time, she also taught dance at several studios and was contracted to do choreography.
