Overview

Ms. Diehl is currently working on her dissertation studying the embedded tutoring program she created and implemented at the University of North Georgia. She is an internationally published poet with over ten poetry publications exhibiting her work.

She has earned a Graduate Diversity certificate from the University of North Georgia and has over 5 years of teaching English composition at 91ÁÔÆæ.

Ms. Diehl is the faculty mentor for the women's golf team at 91ÁÔÆæ. She is a member of the ACTT (Tutoring) Center Advisory Committee and was recently appointed Secretary of the permanent section "Teaching Writing in College" for the Midwest Modern Language Association (MMLA) Conference for 2017-2018.

In 2017, Ms. Diehl was the 91ÁÔÆæ nominee for the Governor's Teaching Fellows program.

Ms. Diehl supervises the Embedded Tutoring program at 91ÁÔÆæ, which places writing center tutors in English composition classrooms to assist first-year students with their writing skills.

Personal Information

Ms. Diehl resides in Cleveland, Georgia, where she has lived with her husband, Dan for 20 years. She shares her home with 5 parrots, 6 chickens, a pot-belly pig, and a dog. She has one adult son, Cory, a daughter-in-law named Tanya, and a deceased son named Ryan. She enjoys exercising, fishing, reading, writing, gardening, hiking, and camping. Her favorite sports teams are the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox.
