Employer Spotlight: Locum Tenens Video Transcript
All right. Hello everyone. My name is Lori and I'm with Career Services and today I'm joined with Nina Moreau. She is the talent acquisition partner for LocumTenens. And today we're going to learn a little bit more about what is LocumTenens and who are they? And so Nina, basically like a lot of our interview questions. Tell me about LocumTenens and your company and what it is that you do and the services that you provide? Yeah, absolutely. Not. A lot of people are familiar with the organization and the title itself is actually Latin for the phrase "In the place of" LocumTenens.com is a full service healthcare staffing and recruiting agency.
So we place clinicians into temporary assignments or contract assignments nationwide. We started in 1995, as we've been in business for twenty-five years. We're also the largest organization within our parent company, Jackson Healthcare. They have a family of companies and we alone are over 550 associates here at LocumTenens. So we share the same campus in Alpharetta. It's an incredible campus that includes two cafeterias, a restaurant, a Starbucks, state of the art gym facility that's got classes and personal training, a daycare, nail salon, car detailing. And you can even be seen by a medical provider at our on-site clinic. So I'll that is also so gosh, I wish I had that at my location. Very cool. And so how would you describe the culture? What does it like to really work there? Yeah. It's an amazing culture that we have here. Obviously, we've had a wonderful campus and a place to work in general, there's always something fun going on. Whether that donuts in the lobby, which we had yesterday. We recently had family fun day, which was a wonderful summer event that we had for all the families and all of our associates to enjoy as a whole with Jackson Healthcare. But we also offer a lot of really wonderful things like the full range of benefits, health, dental, and vision, 401 k.
There's even pet insurance and that too. So when I think of it from the culture, you can really tell that the company is providing our associates with everything that we need to be successful in our day-to-day jobs. That's fantastic. Do you have any like mentoring programs or affinity groups, something to kind of help someone you know, grow in their career? Absolutely. We have a variety of associate network groups. Those would include People of Color Network, the Women's network, young professionals, pride, the innovate and Veterans Network. And those are just a handful that are already pre-set for our organization. We also have the diversity group as well. We call it the IAC. But we also will have our associates we'll pay them actually one day every year to even go and volunteer in an organization of their choice. So we do have a non-profit organization on campus as well called Love Lifts. So there's many different things that you can do to get involved. Wow, that is fantastic. So many different ways that you're supporting your employees and making it where it's your own community basically. Yeah.
That is just great. And so how long have you been at LocumTenens.com? What is it that you admire the most about the company and the culture? Yeah, So I have been here for just a little over 2 and a half years now. I started in fall of 2019, straight into the talent acquisitions department. But I truly loved the company values and the culture. I'm very much a firm believer and, you know, you could make a bunch of money every day. But if you're not being surrounded by an environment where you're going to be happy and people that you know are going to motivate you probably don't want to go to work every day. And said that is fully what I was looking for in a new opportunity few years ago.
And I know that I'm going to be challenged every single day to be the best that I can be in the office, but also supported for life outside of work, which is a lot for me. As you can tell as I mentioned, the organization has so many wonderful offerings that they're providing to their associates. And the big thing for me was the on-campus daycare. I have two children. My children go there. So when my day job starts, I go to my second job at home and I just know that I'm fully supported both in and outside of the office. That's amazing.
