How did you hear about your internship?
I heard about my internship from a couple of classmates, and from there I did my own research about the facility. They utilize several different treatments that were interesting, and they also provide an abundance of services for their patients. I found that they had several locations, and was able to get an internship at one of their facilities in Dawsonville, GA.
What has been the most valuable (or favorite) part of the experience?
The most valuable part of my experience has been being able to see a variety of patients and learning what different exercises can help treat their ailments.
How will this help you in the future?
The exposure to different patients helps me for the future because I will already have knowledge about certain ailments, and because of this I will be able to use the many different exercises that I have previously learned to help the patient and be able to progress from there. This internship has most certainly helped to prepare me for a future career in physical therapy, and I will be able to apply everything that I have learned so far to my future practice.
