How did you hear about your internship?
I heard about the internship through a friend, Martha Rodriguez, who was connected to the organization and with other Latino Student Association members invited H&L for a presentation at a student club meeting.
What has been the most valuable (or favorite) part of the experience?
One of the most valuable experiences was working closely with beneficiaries from Central America, South America, and Mexico. Some of them had impactful and sacrificial stories of their journeys they went through to support and take care of their families.
How will this help you in the future?
I believe that keeping a clear sense of our common humanity will keep one’s feet on the ground in whatever field one goes.
