How did you hear about your internship?
I learned about this internship through previously assisting in weddings with WBE in the past. I asked my boss, Karen Adams, if she had any positions for interns and she allowed me to take on more responsibility in the business such as, researching, emailing, phone calls, and attending meetings with couples before their big day.
What has been the most valuable (or favorite) part of the experience?
My favorite part of the experience was the tight-knit communication we have with each other. The bonds with each other make this job fun to do and I love the variety of different venues and couples.
How will this help you in the future?
This position will show me how to represent a wedding planning business professionally and assist others in interpersonal communication. These soft skills will help me in the future by being able to translate these skills into any relatable position. My dream is to take my skills to a national park to do comms, public relations, and/or media producing and help others relate to one another. Another potential dream I have had is to become a flight attendant for a short period to go and see the beautiful world!
